CHECK OUT THE NEW SUMMER NEWSLETTER AVAILABLE NOW!
Summer 2026 Newsletter
I hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the summer, whether you're here in Arizona or escaping to cooler weather. Here at Caliente, our year-round residents, staff, and I are definitely "sweating it out," but we're staying busy preparing for another wonderful season.
Although the park is much quieter during the summer months, it's one of our busiest times for maintenance and improvement projects. From resurfacing pools and painting buildings to planning events and preparing the clubhouse, we're working hard to make sure Caliente is ready to welcome everyone back this fall.
Below are a few updates, reminders, and highlights from around the park.
Food Handler Cards
Most Arizona Food Handler Cards expire every three years, and we have more than 100 cards scheduled to expire before next season.
If you volunteer at community meals or special events, please take a moment to check your expiration date. If you're unsure, stop by the Clubhouse when you return and we'll be happy to verify it for you.
Thank you to everyone who volunteers throughout the year. Your willingness to help is one of the many things that makes Caliente such a wonderful community.

Spring Fling 2027 – Cruising Caliente
A Message from Jayne Laintz-LaBore
2027 Spring Fling Chairperson
Caliente residents—mark your calendars, pack your bags, and get your passports ready to board the cruise ship Sol Caliente for the cruise of a lifetime—right here in our own park!
Tentative Dates: February 15–25, 2027
The theme for Spring Fling 2027 is "Cruising Caliente."
Your participation is entirely up to you! Work together as a block or decorate individually. Become a crew member, traveler, entertainer, kitchen staff, or create your own unique cruise experience.
Your patios could become destinations such as Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, Italy, Japan, or any exciting port of call. Or perhaps your patio becomes part of the ship itself with restaurants, lounges, theaters, casinos, shopping, or entertainment.
Spring Fling is one of the highlights of our season and a wonderful opportunity to meet neighbors, have fun, and showcase your creativity.
I look forward to working with all of you this coming year.
Have a wonderful summer!
Painting Classes Return
We're excited to welcome back Laura Blanchet for painting classes beginning in January 2027.
Participants may choose between:
· A four-week painting series
· One-day painting workshops
All supplies are included.
More information will be available later this year.
A Message from the Board President
This past spring, Board Member Debbie Harrison completed a wonderful update to the Caliente website. I encourage everyone to visit www.calientecasadesol.com for community news, Board information, governing documents, event updates, and important announcements.
During the upcoming season, the Board of Directors will be considering several additions and revisions to our governing documents. These proposed changes will be posted on the website prior to the November Board meeting, giving owners an opportunity to review them before any votes are taken.
The Board will also be forming a committee of owners and Board members to review property encroachment concerns affecting perimeter properties. In addition, the Compliance Committee, Construction Committee, and Park Manager will continue reviewing the areas beside and behind units to address safety, accessibility, and patio clutter.
We encourage all owners to inspect their property upon returning to Caliente and ensure there is adequate access between neighboring lots.
If you—or someone you know—is interested in becoming more involved in our community, please consider running for the Board of Directors. Two three-year Board positions will be open for election in February 2027. Serving on the Board is a rewarding opportunity to help guide the future of Caliente.
Thank you for your continued support.
Have a safe and enjoyable summer!
Coleen D'Angelo
CPOA Board President
