The park publishes a monthly (November through March) newsletter, The Chatterbox, which lists all the activities and information about the park and the community.
Florence has the highest number of restored historical buildings in Arizona and holds a Home Tour in February. In the nearby area, there are many historical sites including, 11th century Indian settlements, ghost towns of the 1800s and gold, silver and copper mines. There is also a Greek Monastery that welcomes visitors.
Caliente is known far and wide for its friendliness and welcoming atmosphere. Many lifelong friendships have been made while socializing and/or volunteering.
